SNOWMOBILE TRAIL REPORT

***************SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTOS***************

March 11TH; 2010: Snowmobile conditions are rated as very poor. Snow pack on lake surface is now transformed to a watery covering. Grooming of snowmobile trails has ceased. With the mild temperatures and rain showers the past few days trail conditions have changed for the worse very rapidly. Bare muddy areas persist through out the trail system; low areas and ditches are water filled; and snow cover is at minimum. Stay for as little as $35/person per night this winter and spring on the weekends (4 persons in a two bedroom cabin). Take advantage of our many specials including: HALF PRICE RATES for mid-week stays (Monday - Thursday nights), HALF-PRICE RATES Sunday night if you stay Friday and Saturday nights, 20% large group discount for groups of 20 or more, & special 2-person discount of 25% in a 2-bedroom cabin on Friday and Saturday nights. Take advantage of our Wild Wednesday weekend specials by calling on Wednesday or later in the week for our specials for the coming weekend.

See the University of Minnesota snow depth map (link provided below) for snow depth reports. We are located in northeastern Becker County which is west of Leech Lake.

March 3RD; 2010: This group of resort guests including a few from Las Vegas enjoyed a great weekend of snowmobiling in our area. The mild temps and great snow conditions made for a perfect late season ride. Snowmobile trails in our area are being groomed this week and riding conditions are being reported as very good to excellent with an average 6 to 12" base.

February 13TH; 2010: Family prepares for a day of riding on the local snowmobile trails accessible right from the resort. With all the different activities here at the resort a wide variety of guests enjoy the setting.

February 9Th; 2010: Riding across the lake on 8" of fresh snow was like riding on a bed of pillows. I ran down the Rat Lake Tr. a short distance and found the fresh grooming and brushing a very pleasant surprise and lot of fun.

February 19th; 2009: Heading down the Strawberry Mtn. trail in the White Earth State forest trails was a pleasant surprise due to the fact I had heard reports of it being plowed off. I found plenty of snow with a few rough spots but nothing to stop a person from riding. I stopped at the Elbow Lake Store for a report in their neck of the woods and here it is. The Trail Conditions are the next best thing to Heaven so YOU better get up here while it lasts!

January 21st; 2009: Coming down this trail just north of Elbow Lake we still found snow hanging on the pine trees. The entire route we took today could not have been better and conditions are prime for getting out and enjoying the North woods.
